March

The thought of graduation left me contemplating
I will never see some of these people ever again
My highs school career was slowly fading
Sooner than later we were becoming young women and men

Seeing my friends in the hallways will become a memory
It was just yesterday when I attended homeroom for the first time
But now I am a senior and I have to finish off the year properly
High school was such an incredible climb

I am seven months into finishing my final year of high school
And I don't know how I survived a full school day without a free
It's crazy how as middle schools we thought of ourselves as cool
But now some of us are enlisting in the army

I am excited to spend these last few months with my class
We are young adults and will hopefully make the world a better place
The memories that I made in highschool will forever last
The people I have grown with will never be replaced.

  1. As it gets closer to graduation, I can easily relate to everything you said in this poem! Love the line, "High school was such an incredible climb." Great job!

  2. I know it's so bitter sweet the thought of graduating. I can't wait but at the same time I want to stay just awhile longer. Your poem is very nice though even though it makes me sad haha. :D

  3. Your poem describes exactly how I feel about graduating! The more I think about it, the more nervous I get! My favorite lines were "The memories that I made in highschool will forever last The people I have grown with will never be replaced." because they're very true!
